North Korea threatens "Nuclear Fire Shower" attack on US

This is an update to my previous post.

North Korea has now directly threatened us.

I'm not sure what the best thing to do is, but I think it has to be along the lines of:

  1. Take out the Kang Nam.
  2. If attacked by North Korea, then do the following:
  3. Blowing up their navy while its all in the same spot.
  4. Missile strikes against all military targets in the small country.
  5. Invasion of special ops to take out all of Kim Jong's family heirs.

There is more, but that's just my ideas. This isn't "Pre-Emptive": This is response to a direct threat. Thoughts?

LOL, I wondered what happened.

Yeah, I would like to take this opportunity to say: Kim Jung Il, for all of the people you and your dead daddy killed, tortured, raped....not everything gets punished in this life.

James, if I recall correctly, you posted on this subject several weeks ago; and I noted some of the risks involved.

The capitals of SK and NK are within 120 miles of each other, and population densities are rather high ... 25 million people within the metro area of Seoul. One reason why the tin pot dictator gets away with crap is because he knows there is a level of brinksmanship that can be pushed to the limit.

Direct threats against the U.S. ups the ante. If there is a military response, it would have to be very, very quick and very, very surgical to minimize the very high risk of substantial collateral damage.

I can't think of too many options except the one that would cause fall-out, and if that's what it takes, then that is what we might have to do. Any objections?

The only thing is I don't think I'd be okay with another Nagasaki...but surgical bombings of ALL military targets at once, along with their navy...then follow that with a combined invasion with S. Korean troops to retake the country. Then there would be a unified, democratic, non-totalitarian country. Hopefully.

I'm for a solution that prevents any of their bombs from hitting U.S. soil. Beyond that, I've got nothing. N. Korea from some reason feels surly enough to antagonize and posture but really, what have they got? They make a direct threat. Part of me wants to say bigdealsowhat. It's Kim Jong "I'm so rownry" Il. Maybe they are being goaded into saber rattling by a bigger entity that they think will have their back should we take them up on the offer. Who's down for Chinese?

I doubt it's the Chinese. They already own our financial system. If they wanted to ruin us, they could just call in all our debt.

I think Kim Jung Il is just a tool with too much firepower.
